Art in Prineville

New !! Worth visiting! Rimrock Gallery

You may have seen Rimrock Gallery on the corner of NW 3rd and Deer as you drive into town.  It is the newest addition to Prineville's Art scene.  Owned by Pamela Claflin, who began the Mockingbird Gallery in Bend, it features many fine Western artists.  We are very lucky to have her excellent taste and long term connections with fine artists.

Art Events at Prineville Acupuncture

We had art events last year in the old office, which was spacious and had very tall walls. It was wonderful to see so many of you!!

However,  my new office is a sweet but tiny cottage, so I cannot show art in the same way.  I have been going to Rimrock to admire their art work instead. Hopefully I shall see you there as well!

My creative juices have been flowing with a new project that I am doing with my husband - we are resurrecting a 1974 Cessna T210L that has not been flown for over 5 years. So I am often to be found up at the airport working on the airplane, and hope soon to be flying about in it.

Betty Ann Guadalupe's art quilts on a background of international fabrics, complemented by Sandy Brown's luscious ceramics...what better way to start spring?  Come join us for the evening. If we run overtime, we will adjoin to the local brewery...

Peter Cox, oil painting, gouache, watercolor sketches

Teaching drawings by Peter Cox, a New York figure artist. These were for his anatomical drawing classes.  I am fascinated by these - the power of the drawing is very emotional - surprising, as they are detailing joints, shoulders, bones...

Katherine Taylor, oil paintings

The luminous oil paintings of Katherine Taylor, a local artist in Bend.  Katherine's work shows her classical training (she studied in Italy) and her passion for the land and light of Central Oregon.

Patrick McCarthy, MD has a side passion for photography.  He has journeyed around Central Oregon, catching the vistas that we all love so much.  These are large scale, and are made of many exposures, digitally stitched together so that the effect is of looking out a window rather than at a photo.
